和道会インターナショナルカップ2025の開催

“和道会インターナショナルカップ2025”が、8月16日,17日と10年振りに日本武道館で開催されました。飛鳥会長の統率のもと和道会と関係部門がこの大殿堂を借り切り、主催者として君臨されたことは、夢のような大偉業です。大盛況裡に幕を閉じ、日本勢も圧勝しました。

私には５５年前に憧れた日本武道館が、当時空手道の”聖地“としての光景が浮かび、脳裏を駆け巡りました。それは、飛鳥師範と手塚先輩（S4２入学、故人）の師弟コンビで臨んだ、“第一回世界空手道選手権大会”で飛鳥師範は７倍の競争率から審判員に選抜されました。東北学生大会で優勝した手塚先輩は団体戦に選抜され、3位入賞を果たしております。武道館は当時の空手道の“聖地”であり東北の枠から一歩踏み出したようで、誇らしいことでした。

その武道館を29ケ国370名の海外選手と日本選手団が入場し、埋め尽くしていく光景には、込みあげてくるものがありました。飛鳥会長が開会挨拶を凛とした重厚な声で述べはじめ、日本武道館の空気を徐々に支配していきました。　　　　　　　（S44入学　記　浅間）

Welcome Address – Wadokai International Cup 2025

会場の皆様、こんにちは。

本日はここ日本武道館を会場にして、10年振りとなった「和道会インターナショナルカップ2025」大会を開催するにあたり、世界の29ケ国から370名余の選手と、多数の役員と指導者をお迎えできたことは、主催者側として大いなる喜びであり、皆様方を心から歓迎いたします。

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.
It is a true honor to welcome you all here to the Nippon Budokan for the Wadokai International Cup 2025 — returning for the first time in ten years. On behalf of the host organization, I extend our warmest greetings to over370 Karate-ka from 29 countries, along with the many officials and instructors who have joined us from around the world.

それに、日頃より弊会に対しご懇切なるご指導をいただいていますご来賓の諸先生方には、公私ともに大変ご多用中にも拘わらずご臨席を賜わりましたことに心から厚く御礼を申し上げます。

I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our distinguished　guests , who have been such steadfast supporters of our association, for being here with us today despite their many commitments.

さて、我が国固有の伝統文化である武道は、国民性の支柱として機能してきた歴史があります。その一種目である空手道は、その多種多様な技法ばかりでなく、学ぶ人の健全な心と体を養い、護身術としての有効性にも注目され、世界中に膨大な愛好者がおります。

Budo — Japan’s traditional martial arts — has, for centuries, been a pillar of our culture and values. Among its disciplines, Karate-dō stands out not only for its rich variety of techniques, but also for its power to strengthen both body and mind. It is also respected worldwide as an effective form of self-defense, and it continues to inspire countless Karate-ka across the globe.

その代表ともいえる選手皆さんには、本大会において存分に力を発揮し、勝利を目指して競技に臨まれ、和道会の歴史に残る名勝負を展開してください。

To all the Karate-ka here today: I hope you will give your very best competition with honor, and create matches that will be remembered in the　history of Wadokai.

本大会が友情、スポーツマンシップ、そして卓越した技術、精神性、努力を示す機会となることを心より願っております。選手皆さんのご健闘を期待し、私からのご挨拶といたします。

I sincerely hope that this event will inspire friendship , sportsmanship, and　excellence in every Karate-ka Thank you, and best of luck to all Karate-ka.

On behalf of the Japan Karate-do Federation Wado-kai, I would like to express my deepest appreciation for your continued guidance and supporting advancing our many activities.

さて、この度は10年振りとなった「和道会インターナショナルカップ2025大会」の開催を祝い、併せて和道会の一般社団法人化のお披露目を兼ねた祝う会のご案内を差し上げましたところ、時節柄ご多忙中にも拘わらず笹川全空連名誉会長はじめかくも大勢のの皆様からご臨席を賜わり誠に有り難うございました。心から感謝申し上げます。

Today, we gather to celebrate two special occasions: the Wado-kai International Cup 2025, held for the first time in ten years, and the formal incorporation of Wado-kai as a General Incorporated Association. We are　truly honored that, despite your busy schedules, so many distinguished guests have joined us here.

また、海外からお越しの選手と役員の皆様には、和道会空手道の修行者同士として、お互いに胸襟を開いて交流し、この場を有効活用していただきたいと願うところであります。お時間の許す限りご歓談ください。本日は誠に有り難うございました。

To our Karate-ka and officials visiting from abroad, I hope that, as Karate-ｋa of Wado-kai Karate-do, you will take this opportunity to open your　hearts, exchange ideas, and strengthen the bonds of friendship that unite　us.
Please enjoy the evening and make the most of the time together. Once again, thank you very much for being here today.
